UNI EN 14065 certification - Industrial laundries

Scope of Certification

UNI EN 14065 certification demonstrates the conformity of the biocontamination control system (RABC – Risk Analysis and Biocontamination Control) implemented by industrial laundries, ensuring effective management of microbiological risks throughout the entire textile processing cycle.

Implementing the standard provides an effective framework for maintaining high hygiene standards, reducing the risk of contamination, and offering customers objective assurance of the reliability of laundering processes.

CSI issues certification in accordance with EN 14065 and, upon request, can also assess the implementation of the standard against the RABC–AUIL Guidelines developed by Assosistema, the leading Italian industry association affiliated with Confindustria. CSI is a certification body officially recognized by Assosistema to issue RABC certification.

Benefits of Certification

UNI EN 14065 certification enables organizations to:

  • demonstrate the effectiveness of their biocontamination control system;
  • ensure the hygienic quality of processed textiles;
  • strengthen the confidence of customers, clients, and regulatory authorities;
  • enhance the credibility of their processes through independent third-party certification;
  • improve operational control and microbiological risk management.

RABC System Principles

The RABC system defined by UNI EN 14065 is based on the following key principles:

  • identification of microbiological hazards and related control measures;
  • identification of Control Points (CPs);
  • definition of target levels and tolerance limits for each control point;
  • establishment of monitoring procedures for each control point;
  • definition of corrective actions in the event of deviations;
  • verification of the effectiveness of the RABC system;
  • management of documentation and records supporting the system.
