Childhood Services Certification - UNI 11034

Scope of Certification

UNI 11034 certification attests to the quality and reliability of early childhood services, enhancing the ability of organizations to provide safe, inclusive, and educational environments focused on children’s well-being and development.

In a society where early childhood services play an increasingly important role in supporting families and contributing to children’s educational growth, certification represents a distinctive tool to demonstrate professionalism, organizational competence, and commitment to service quality.

CSI issues certification in accordance with UNI 11034, assessing the proper management of educational, organizational, and care processes, with particular attention to the needs of children, families, and the context in which the service is provided.

Benefits of Certification

Certification enables organizations to:

  • demonstrate their commitment to providing high-quality educational services;
  • offer families greater assurance of reliability and professionalism;
  • enhance their organizational model and expertise;
  • improve the management of internal processes and educational activities;
  • strengthen their reputation through certification issued by an independent third-party certification body.

Certification Requirements

The certification assessment verifies compliance with the requirements established by UNI 11034, including:

  • management of daily activities and service organization;
  • procedures for welcoming, settling-in, and integrating children into the service;
  • management and organization of spaces dedicated to educational activities;
  • requirements related to children’s safety, well-being, and protection;
  • competence and organization of the personnel involved;
  • management of information and relationships with families.

UNI 11034 also represents a complementary reference standard to UNI EN ISO 9001, the international standard for quality management system certification, helping organizations integrate specific early childhood service requirements with a structured approach to organizational management.

The certification is intended for organizations providing educational and care services for early childhood, including:

  • nurseries and childcare centres;
  • complementary services to nurseries;
  • parent and child centres;
