The Food, Packaging & Materials laboratory at CSI has specialized expertise in microbiological analyses applied to food, materials and products intended for different industrial sectors.

Through qualified technical personnel and dedicated equipment, the laboratory performs microbiological tests for the detection and quantification of microorganisms, such as bacteria, moulds and yeasts, evaluating the hygienic-sanitary and performance characteristics of products, materials and processes.

Microbiological analyses represent a fundamental element in quality control programs and in the assessment of product safety, through the application of validated test methods, both qualitative and quantitative.
