A new opportunity is offered to the companies that export the cars to USA. CSI has become fully operative since September 15 2005 in certification of the vehicles exported to USA in accordance with the new standard FMVSS 208. CSI has expanded and equipped its laboratories with the support of the USA Compliance Institute. It is possible to certify the cars in accordance with the requirements of Out-Of-Position (OOP) regulation. The certification covers all the tests with Hybrid III 5 %, 3 YO, 6 YO, and 12 MO (CRABI) and verification of “suppression” functionality with the child safety seats as listed in the FMVSS 208 appendices.
