October 24 th 2006: CSI  INVITES YOU TO THE 5TH TOPIC OF SHELF LIFE
Food, Packaging, Materials Division

On October 24th 2006, the  5th Topic of Shelf Life, fifth meeting of the formative programme  “Topics of Shelf Life” organized by  CSI, in cooperation with GSICA, will be held.

The meeting entitled  “The Shelf Life of meat and fish products” brings into focus the problems of these food families and will provide, through some examples of packaging solutions for meat, delicatessen and fish, the most effective approach to improve the quality of packaged foods. During the day, moments of theoretical formation and other more explanatory ones will alternate, where the packaging industry will present the last achievements of research and innovation.
The meeting will be held in Bollate, at CSI’s seat.

The EC marking for flexible waterproofing sheets and in-situ insulating products for building
May 27th, 2006 - European Directives Division

The product standards for flexible sheets for waterproofing in building  at  has been published in the O.J. E.U.(Official Journal of European Union) during the last December. The products included are EN 13859-1 & 2, EN 13956, EN 13967, EN 13969, EN 13970, EN 13984.
CSI has the machinery the European classification of reaction to fire and the resistance of water penetration. These majors requirements are obligatory to declare for future EC marking of waterproofing products starting from next end of 2006. In the same time arrive the dead line for the in-situ insulating products (perlite, vermiculite) and for the gypsum plasterboard and fibro-cement sheets.

The EC marking for window and external pedestrial doors
May 25th, 2006 - European Directives Division

The product standard EN 14351-1 : 2006 at least has been published by CEN ( European Committee for Standardisation) during the last march. The product included are window, external pedestrian doors and roof window.
CSI has built up a new update machinery for the air permeability, water tightness and wind resistance classification of products. These requirements are obligatory to declare for future EC marking of window and pedestrian doors ( end 2006).
