CSI has a well established and outstanding culture in the field of acoustic phenomena. In its Acoustics laboratory operate highly skilled technicians and three reverberating acoustic chambers are structured in order to carry out with great reliability and in a short time a lot of measurements by means of advanced and sophisticated equipments. The Sanitary Tapware laboratory is particularly supplied with tools to perform the tests provided for by the European standards in the field of sanitary taps (flow, sensitivity, pressure, leaktightness, mechanical endurance, etc. tests ) and moreover the mechanical endurance tests of tanks and valves.
In this sector CSI controls the UNI mark which, thanks to the mutual recognition with a large number of European Countries (Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Luxembourg ) is accepted in Europe equally as the other marks (DIN, KIWA, NF ) . Sanitary taps and fittings are part of the 89/106/CE Construction Products Directive. The Thermotechnics and Safety laboratory is equipped to perform tests :
- Heat conductivity (I) on flat plates and of cylindric geometry
- Heat transmittance (K) on shutter assemblies ( windows, walls )
- Air and water tightness of windows
- Burglar resistance of doors, windows and shutters in accordance with the current European standards
