In the following the steps towards the granting and the maintaining of the products, processes and services certification will be described.
1. Application for certification / Documents examination
In order to start the certification route, the Company must present the application form and send the documents listed in “Particular Rules” specific for the product to be certified. Eventual deficiencies and significant deviations from the requirements disclosed in this phase, will be communicated in order to make the proper corrections before the evaluation visit.
2. Initial evaluation visit
After the application form has been accepted, CSICERT appoints an inspector to perform a visit at the organization to verify the product, process or service conformity; in the case of products, the samples provided for by the particular rules for the testing are taken. At the end of the evaluation, the inspector shall present the results to the Board of Directors; subsequently, should the visit results disclose non-conformities or remarks, a plan of corrective actions to comply with the requirements for the issue of the certificate will be asked. After having overcome all the possible non-conformities disclosed by the evaluation visit and from the positive results of the possible laboratory tests, the certification will be granted.
3. Maintaining of the certification
The surveillance visits to verify the maintaining of the conformity will take place after the issue of the certificate. The frequency of such visits and of the possible laboratory tests is stated by the applicable particular rules.
4. Renewal of the certification
The certificatuion remains in force according to the specific particular rules; at the expiry date the contract is tacitly renewed unless one of the Parties has given the other Party written notice 4 (four) months before the expiry date.
